HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

This program is aimed at experienced professionals who:

  • have been employed in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months in full-time employment with a temporary work permit. These includes the following occupations:
    • physician;
    • nurse;
    • other health care workers;
  • qualify for a nomination under the terms of the SINP program.

Steps for filing an immigration application

You have the opportunity to apply for qualification by the SINP under Masters in Medicine in one of these 3 categories that coincide with your profession:

  • physician;
  • nurse;
  • other health care workers.

If you are employed in another region, you need to find out the criteria for education, examinations and/or certification for your future professional activity from a specialized professional company:

  • If your profession is a physician, you need to contact the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan – CoPSS;
  • If your profession is a nurse, you need to contact one of the following organizations in your field:
    • The Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses – SALPN;
    • The Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan – RPNAS;
    • The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association – SRNA.
