Ontario Province Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream

Qualification Requirements

In order to apply for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream, you must meet both federal and provincial requirements. Immigrants are evaluated on both of these factors when they are nominated.

In order to apply for immigration under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream of this province, you must:

  • have an active profile in the Express Entry program;
  • be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • indicate on your Express Entry profile that you have an interest in moving to or within that province, or tick the “All Provinces and Territories” box;
  • receive a Notification of Interest from this province on your IRCC online account (EE profile).

Qualification Requirements of Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream

In order for you to be eligible to apply, you must meet these requirements set by the province:

  • Work experience:It must meet at least one of the following options:

1 year of work experience you have obtained in the past 5 years under the requirements of the Federal Skilled Worker Program;

– 1 year of work experience you have obtained in the last 3 years according to the Canadian Experience Class requirements;

  • Education: You must have a Canadian equivalent to your bachelor’s degree or higher;
  • Language skills: Your language level on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) must be at least level 7 in English or French;
  • Settlement finances:You must have a living wage or have an income that will support your settlement and the relocation of your family members;
  • Intent: To move to Ontario, you must aspire to live in this province;
  • Legal resident status (if applicable): For persons residing in Canada, you must require proof of legal residence in this country. This means you must have a work permit, study permit, or temporary residency status;
  • Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Assessment: You must score a minimum of 400 on the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Express Entry.
