BC PNP – Express Entry BC
One of the areas of the BC PNP’s Express Entry BC (EEBC) candidate selection program has been merged with the federal Express Entry immigration candidate selection system.
Express Entry BC is a great way for experienced workers to quickly immigrate to the province of British Columbia. You must also qualify for the federal economic immigration program. This program uses an invitation system based on a point system for evaluating foreign workers. It also includes web-based registration and processing of immigration applications for both BC PNP nominations and permanent residency (PRP).
You are not required to have work experience specifically within the province of British Columbia, but the program requirements do specify relevant experience. There are also other criteria relating to educational attainment and language competence.
The Features of Express Entry BC
- Under the program criteria, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) processes applications for permanent residence in Canada submitted online. They are processed on an expedited basis.
- The program is intended only for workers who have mastered an occupation listed in the National Occupational Classification of Canada (NOC) and meet the qualification levels 0, A or B.
- Express Entry BC requires immigration applicants to meet the minimum requirements under one of the federal IRCC’s economic-related immigration systems. These include work experience, language competence, and financial ability to settle.
How do I apply and how does the BC Express Entry program work?
1. The initial step is to register your immigration applicant profile in the federal Express Entry selection system.
2. After that, the foreign worker profile must be registered again, but this time it must be done in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), where:
- Registration can only take place if you meet all the conditions for program selection
- It is for free
- Remember: Registering your foreign worker profile does not guarantee success in the selection process
- You can receive points for different aspects in accordance with the requirements of the program selection
- If you pass successfully, you are included in the database of immigration applicants in your chosen category
- An immigrant applicant profile in Express Entry and SIRS is active is 12 months
Selection factors affecting SIRS scores
Key economic factors include:
- Occupational level must meet the National Occupational Classification (NOC) and be listed on a vacancy in British Columbia
- An offer of an annual salary level. Setting an adequate salary level will contribute to your successful relocation to the Province of British Columbia
- The location of the immigration candidate’s future job.
Factors you should also consider when you want to move to B.C:
- Work experience in your chosen specialty
- Education level
- Linguistic competence level
3. Selection. You should receive an invitation to apply for the Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled/International Graduate categories.
4. The process for applying to be considered by the Province of British Columbia. You can do this online through BC PNP Online. The cost to apply for immigration is 700 Canadian dollars (CAD).
5. Receiving a nomination from the province.
6. Submitting the necessary documentation for permanent residency in the country.
