SINP – Long-Haul Truck Drivers
This system was created to provide a way for trucking organizations to find truck drivers in the province of Saskatchewan. To be selected under this subcategory, you must:
- start your professional duties on a temporary work permit with a provincial transportation organization that has received the necessary approval;
- in case this company offers the opportunity to work permanently, you can apply for a SINP after working for this employer for 6 months or more;
- meet all the eligibility requirements under this system.
Selection Factors in the Long-haul Truck Drivers SINP Program
In order to receive a nomination through the SINP system under this program, you must:
- be employed by a provincial transportation organization for six months or more with a temporary work permit. This must be issued to you by the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You must also receive a positive labor market impact assessment (LMIA) from the Canada Administrative Services Centre. Note that the transportation organization you are working for must be approved by the SINP;
- have a Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license;
- possess an offer of permanent, full-time employment from a provincial transportation organization that has obtained the required program approval;
- your English language proficiency must be a score of at least 4 on the Canada CLB on 4 aspects (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking);
- you must have an active Job Approval Letter from the SINP system.
